The CMLS has fourteen (14) directorships derived from three
(3) “Classes” of Directors.
The term “Classes” is simply a label used to define
both the qualification required to fill the position, and how that “Class” of
Director is elected.
Once elected the rights, responsibilities and powers of
all three “Classes” are identical.
|
|
“Class A Directors”:
The CMLS has six (6) “Class A Directors”, which must be Designated REALTORS/MLS Participant (owner/brokers of firms) or their designees.
Class A Directors are elected by the Designated REALTORS/MLS Participants.
“Class B Directors”:
The CMLS has six (6) “Class B Directors”, which must be Designated REALTORS/MLS Participant (owner/brokers of firms) or their designee.
Class B Directors are elected by the local Boards/Associations of REALTORS, located within the CMLS Service area that do not maintain a competing MLS.
“Class C Directors”/span>
TThe CMLS has two (2) “Class C Directors”, which must be sales associates affiliated with a Designated REALTORS/MLS Participant
(owner/brokers of firms) and may not be owner/brokers or managers.
Class C Directors are elected by the Designated REALTORS/MLS Participants. |
|
- Once elected, Directors regardless of Class, serve for staggered two (2) year terms, with half of the Directorships in each Class expiring each year.
- No more than one Director may be associated with any one Real Estate firm.
